Their new hybrid propulsion system, which was conceived exclusively for the FB272 Giga yacht, employs a responsible energy approach as it drastically decreases fuel consumption over the life of the yacht. This particular propulsion package included diesel-electric engines with two Azipods propulsion units powered by a battery pack. The Azipod units are even able to rotate 360-degrees and achieve better fuel efficiency than conventional propulsion systems.
